3rd Annual Youth Fishing Outing at the Watersmeet Trout Hatchery in Watersmeet, MI.
Eight youth took part in our annual fishing outing at the Watersmeet Trout Hatchery June 15th. Weather was a little cold at 47 degrees but it kept the mosquitos away. Trout pond had fish up to 18”. Biggest fish for our group was 16”. Sayner/Star Lake Lions Randy and Jeff grilled hot dogs and burgers for lunch. Hatchery help cleaned and iced down the trout. Each youth was able to catch and keep 3 trout.
